Cuatrococha's groove is a song I wrote in the mountains of Cordillera Huayhuash, part of the Peruvian Andes. I travelled there in the summer of 2015. A melody got stuck in my head while being on the trail with some friends and trekking every day. I eventually gave it freedom through my travel guitar, right after we got down from the trek. This is the song that I have composed with the least effort so far - the melody was clear and got its shape and chords in just a few minutes. The emotion I needed to express through it was very strong and no distraction could get in the way. It was great fun recording backing vocals in the studio later on with my friend Dimitar Karamfilov.
